Butterflies!

Good morning everyone.

It's Friday once again and time for a new challenge over at

Winter Wonderland

Our theme this week is

BUTTERFLIES

And here is my DT card

We are still in our non Christmas period but you can still enter your Christmas creations if you want to.

We are lucky enough to have two fabulous sponsors

The first one is

Marianne Design

with this amazing prize

and the second one is

 Delicious Doodles

who will donate 4 digi images of the winner's choice.

For my card I used this lovely Penny Black stamp called Bees & Bunny. I coloured using Distress Inks and the papers are from my stash.  The die cut butterflies were on my craft table and they gave me the inspiration for this card. I added some pearls and Stickles to finish my creation.

Don't forget to pop over to the main challenge blog to take a peek at the lovely creations the rest of the DT have made for your inspiration.

January Art Journal

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I woke up to a very cold and frosty but bright and sunny morning.....a perfect crafting day I think!!!!

Another of my New Year's resolutions is to 'try' and keep up with my art journal for 2014. I set off well last year but I failed abysmally and only managed to get up to May, so this time I aim to finish the said 2014 Journal.............

My plan is to join in again with Kate Crane's  365 Calendar Journal. So here are my January 2014 Journal Pages.

I have to say that I am really pleased with how these pages turned out.....not quite what was in my head but I'm thrilled with the results as when I sat down I didn't really have any clue as to what I was doing other than I wanted greys, whites and a hint of blue.....and this was the result.

I am adding my January journal pages to Kate Crane's 365 Journal Challenge.

Thank you so much for taking the time to pop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely comments.

Have a lovely afternoon.

Hello Cupcake!

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

It's pouring down here so I've spent the morning baking and making a card.

While I'm waiting for my banana loaves to bake I thought I would post my little card.

One of my New Year Resolutions is to try and keep using up all those scraps of paper we seem to accumulate....so these are the papers that were left on my desk from a previous project. I coloured up this sweet Magnolia image with Distress Inks which I don't use nearly as much as I should. The lace ribbon is elasticated which takes some getting used to when trying to make a bow but I got there ~ eventually. I added a little resin flower and some pearls and finished off with a computer generated sentiment.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:~

Divas By Design ~ Use Ribbons
Totally Gorjuss ~ # 219 ~ Lace/Pearls

Boys ~ Boys ~ Boys

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

This is my second post today, please scroll down for my earlier post.

It's time for a new challenge over at

A Gem Of A Challenge

And our theme this time is

FOR THE BOYS

The prize as always is

2 Individual Digi images
(NO SETS, PERSONALISED WATERMARK'S OR SENTIMENT SETS)
of the winners choice from Pink Gem Designs.

Now boy cards are never my best so here goes.....

For my card I used this sweet teddy image called Football Teddy from Pink Gem Designs. Now I have to say these papers are ancient but I think they were from Papermania. I coloured the little bear with Promarkers and cut him out before mounting him on to the dark blue paper. The stars are die~cuts using a nestie die, the pearls are from The Hobby House and the sentiment is computer generated.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:~

All Tied Up!!!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Today I'm here to remind you about this month's challenge over at

The Hobby House

Our theme this month is

RIBBONS

And here is my creation

I decided to make a little album for my inspiration piece for this challenge. I started by cutting chipboard  and covering with papers from First Edition ~ Spring Feast. I inked around the edges with Distress Ink ~ Frayed Burlap and secured all the pages with a couple of metal clipped jump rings. I used lots of pearls, roses, tied ribbons and a couple of charms. I added glittery black peel off numbers and finished off with a little decoration to the inside pages. All items can be found at The Hobby House.

Don't forget to pop over to the main challenge blog and take a peek at the gorgeous creations the rest of the DT have made for your inspiration.

At The Bottom Of The Garden.....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Well I don't have anything crafty or exciting to share today but I've been meaning to share these photos for a while....

Towards the end of last year we were having a potter around my parent's garden and look what we spied in the damp wooded corner of the garden.

No fairies though.....maybe we scared them off.

I think they are beautiful and I'm always fascinated by them, such fabulous shape and texture.

Thank you for stopping by.

I always appreciate your visits.

Have a lovely day.

Happy New Year & A Thank You

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

Just a quick 'Thank you' card to share today.

I needed a quick card and as always I turn to those fabulous Art Pads from Lili Of The Valley.

I kept this card very simple as I'm still struggling a little with my neck and wrists but thankfully the physio and injections are beginning to work.

The backing card is actually a very pretty lilac colour but no matter how many times I photographed this card it continued to come out a horrible grey colour. Oh well never mind.....I blame the poor light.....Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!!!

Thank you so much for dropping by.

I really do appreciate all your lovely, encouraging comments.

Have a great afternoon.
