Pretty In Purple

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

It's seems ages since I last posted but it has been a tad busy here lately....

Brogan is now happily settling in at Lincoln University and I'm missing her so much but she is coming home at the weekends at the moment!!!

I have made her this giant flowery note peg to keep her desk tidy....yeah right....

I love making these pegs....I think almost all of my female friends and family possess one of these now....they make perfect gifts....well I think so anyway.

The papers are from my scraps box....Lili Of The Valley I think!....and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and The Hobby House. The pins were a gift from a friend.

I would like to enter my peg into the following challenges:~

Crafting From The Heart ~ # 37 ~ Anything Goes
A Creative Romance ~ Anything Goes

Hydrangeas.....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are well.

Today is another busy day for us.....we are expecting a few last minute parcels to arrive (new laptop arrived yesterday) and we have to go into town to get the last bits and pieces before Brogan goes off to university at the weekend....

And I have another card to share....

I was asked to make this quick card for a colleague at work.
(One of those flower cards you make, pretty and light to go in the post was the request)

Well I think this fitted the bill, or at least I hope it did.

Yes I know...it's another coloured Art Pad image from Lili Of The Valley and my favourite spotty papers from Craft Creations Limited but it was quick and it works....The pearls are from The Hobby House, the sentiment is computer generated and I added some Liquid Pearl dots around the image to finish off.

Sadly time is just not on my side at the moment but hopefully things will settle down soon and I can get down to a bit more colouring and crafting, although I suspect I will be spending a lot of time driving to and from Lincoln to see Brogan, to pick her up and drop her off....but I can't complain as one I will be seeing my lovely daughter and two spending time in one of my favourite places....Lincoln....which is also not too far from where we live.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Have a lovely day.

The Little Artist

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well today.

It's been a busy first day to the start of my week 'off' work.....First up was an appointment at Rheumatology with the Podiatrist for foot measurements, toe moulds and foot moulds for inner soles etc....and then onto my Fibromyalgia physiotherapist, Suzi who keeps me moving and keeps me at work.....the goal is to keep me going until I can retire at 55 (If the government don't move the goalposts) that is!!!.....I have 8 more years to go and I'm thinking positive.....

Then Brogan and I painted some doors and radiators....and cleaned the house together.

Today has been a good day....Saturday was a dead loss but I got lots done yesterday....cleaning out drawers and cupboards and sorting out all my paperwork.

I think I'm on a mission a the moment.....usually it's Mission Impossible!!!

And today I have another card to share...

The topper is from a set called Strawberry Tea from The Hobby House. I used some Kraft as my base card and co~ordinating blue card as a mount. I tried to keep the design fairly simple and just added ribbon, a bow, pearls and a computer generated sentiment. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch....one of my favourites.

Well that's me away....I have so many cards to make.....so many birthdays coming up.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Have a lovely day.

Happy Ever After...

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I'm having a lazy day today....compared to yesterday which was hectic....I didn't know whether I was coming or going....anyway it's quieter today so I shall just potter. I now have a week off work and it's our last week before Brogan goes off to University so we have lots to do.

Anyway I have a card to share today...

This is a very simple wedding card that I was asked to make ages ago....

Instructions....'No Fuss'....

So here it is ~ a no nonsense wedding card.

The image of course is from one of those fabulous coloured Art Pads from Lili Of The Valley and the papers were a freebie from an old crafting magazine that I'd put to one side and forgotten about....but they were a perfect match. I used a Martha Stewart border die (my favourite) and added some Stickles to the little brides dress and a few pearls from The Hobby House....trying to keep the fuss down to a minimum here. I finished off by adding a computer generated sentiment.

And that was it....not too much fuss I hope!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Lazy Days.....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

It's almost the weekend at last, just half a day at work for me and then I have a whole nine days off......

I have lots to do but I'm hoping to get some crafting done in between helping Brogan pack for Uni and painting doors and radiators. Hopefully we'll get time for a few trips and treats.

Today I have a very quick card to share....

This image is from one of those fabulous coloured Art Pads from Lili Of The Valley....I know...I know...I have to start colouring up my own images again. I have to say that for the first six months of this year I had lost interest in crafting but these little pre~coloured beauties are easing me back in gently.

The papers are all from scraps left on my desk from previous projects and are from Lili Of The Valley. The pearls are from The Hobby House. The blue brad is from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:~

The Birthday Fairy

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Ooooh Thursday already....just one more day and then I'm off work for 9 whole days but it's going to be busy as 'My Baby' is going away to university the week after and we will be busy sorting, packing and moving her in to her rooms on campus.....luckily we are pretty organised so I'm hoping we can have some treats and a few trips out together before she goes....

Today I have a card to share....this is almost like a shadow box card which will fold flat for posting but my photography is awful and you can't really see clearly from the picture....

This sweet image is from a  Lili Of The Valley Art Pad ~ # 6 ~ Fairies....isn't she cute. The papers are also from Lili Of The Valley. I made a circular frame for the opening using a Nestability die and die cut a circle from the centre. The flower and leave die is my latest crafty acquisition from Marianne Design and I love it. The pearls and the pearl medallion at the centre of the flower are from The Hobby House and the sentiment again is from Lili Of The Valley. I finished my card by adding lots of sparkle to her skirt, wings and the bow on the present using Stickles.

New Baby

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Today I have a 'New Baby' card to share.....

I made this card for my neighbours ~ who had a baby girl last week and she is beautiful. I don't normally say that about babies....I much prefer them when they are a few months old and a little more interesting but she is beautiful.....and of course I have to say that my baby was beautiful and still is but then I'm totally biased on that one ~ like any mother would be......

Anyway on to my card....

The New Baby stamp is from Lili Of The Valley ~ I love these stamps and I just had to have this set when I saw it. The papers are my all time favourites from Craft Creations Limited. I stamped with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and the colour was a perfect match for the papers. The flower and leaf die are from Marianne Design and the pearls and pearl medallion at the centre of the flower are from The Hobby House.

And there it is.......job done!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:~

Elodie In Her Garden

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

At last I have managed to break out the Copics and have a play.....

I am so out of practice....

But here is a completed image and a completed card to boot.....although my colouring needs more work I think!!!

The image is from Sarah Kay ~ Elodie In Her Garden. I have had this stamp forever and don't use her as much as I should. I have coloured with my Copic Markers and the papers are from Lili Of The Valley. The roses, lace, heart pins and pearls are all from The Hobby House and the Happy Birthday sentiment was printed on my computer.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:~

Toot Toot!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

It's the start of a new week and a new month too....I can't believe it's September already.

I really must make tracks with those Christmas cards....I am so far behind this year.

So today I have another card to share....not a Christmas one though!

I was asked to make this card. This seems to be a popular theme at the moment.....everyone seems to be passing their driving test!!!

The image is called Toot Toot from a Lili Of The Valley ~ Coloured Art Pad 1 ~ Vintage Boys. The papers are also from Lili Of The Valley. I teamed up these fab papers with Kraft card and added some buttons and twine, finishing the card with pearls from The Hobby House and a computer generated sentiment. Nice and simple.....
