Ok....So It's Been Awhile.....

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I'm here to apologise for my distinct lack of blogging and commenting.

There are many reasons, most of which I won't go into....but the main one being is that we are on the move.....

We sold our house in 'four' days....four days.....so we will be moving in the New Year.

It's all a bit of a whirlwind here at the moment but it will be fine.

I love our house but the plan was to complete all the renovations and then move on....so we are. We have bought my parents detached bungalow as they are now downsizing to a much smaller bungalow, about a 3rd of the size to be exact....

It's all very exciting for all of us and we have so many plans.....next year is a big year for us for other reasons that I will let you in on at a later date though.....

There's not much crafting going on but lots of packing and organising to do.

My parents will be stopping with us until their new home is ready so it will be somewhat cosy for a time. Much of our belongings will be going into storage so I have sorted out crafting projects that need finishing...Ha Ha!!! and books that need to be read....

I will let you know how I get on.....

I might not have managed to craft much this year but I have almost completed my Goodreads challenge of 26 books in 2016 which is probably my only resolution that has servived this year.....I have enjoyed the challenge and will definitely be doing it again next year.

The only other thing I have planned which is new for the New Year is to join a KAL at my local wool shop.....So if all goes well I will be the proud owner of one comleted knitted throw by next Christmas....

Anyway if I don't manage to blog again before Christmas I hope that you all have a 'Wonderful Christmas and a Very Happy & Peaceful New Year'.

I may be without internet for a while until we get organised but I will do my best to blog somehow along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Calling Little Wandering Wren....

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Sorry I have been absent again of late but I will reveal the reasons in time...I promise.

This is just a quick call out to...

Little Wandering Wren...

We have been paired up in Amy's Christmas Card Swap but I can't find your email address...

Mine is in my 'Complete Profile' on the right hand side of my blog...

Hope you can see it there...I'm struggling to find yours on your blog....

Hoping to hear from you soon....

FNWF - Oh What Shall I Do?....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are well.

Friday evening found me joining in with like minded crafter's from around the world who join together (virtually) that is.....on the first Friday of the month to do a spot of knitting, sewing, crocheting etc....whatever craft you like....

Thank you to Cheryll for hosting this fabulous get together.

I wasn't too sure what to do as my head is little all over the place at the moment I'm afraid but I will blog about the reasons for that at a later date.....

So I hit on the idea of putting a list together of all my projects that need to be completed before I can start anything new....so it was more of an evening of sorting and organising than actual doing although the needle was picked up for a short time....

Here are some of the things I need to finish....

The Holly Fairy

The Knitted Throw

The Autumn Queen

The Spirit Of  Christmas

And Finally

The Beaded Santa

I have a dozen or more other projects to finish but these I have decided are to be completed first....

Wish me luck!!!

Right now I can spend a bit of time having a look at what everyone else was doing.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

The Enchanting Rose - 9th Tea Cup & Mug Exchange

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

The weather has definitely taken a turn and it is very cold here tonight...time for woodburners and hot chocolate I think!!!

The lovely Stephanie from The Enchanting Rose hosted the 9th Tea Cup & Mug Exchange and I have joined in again....This time around there were 192 ladies who participated and Stephanie did an amazing job of organisation as always. Thank you so much Stephanie......

Once again I was absolutely thrilled with my lovely parcel that I received from the very generous Dawn....this time my parcel came from Cornwall....and was just perfect.

Autumn 2016 Tea Cup Exchange

Here are the lovely gifts that Dawn sent to me.

The cup and saucer are so pretty and the lovely brooch is adorning one of my jumpers. The little bird is hanging in my craftroom from one of my shelves and the tea has almost gone...The beautiful doily is now sat on the hall table for all to see....

A beautiful selection of gifts and all perfect.

Thank you so much Dawn....

I had the pleasure of putting together a parcel for Tiina in Estonia....

and here are the things I sent....

I do hope she liked them....

Will I take part again....Absolutely....I can't wait...It's such a lovely exchange and so exciting.

Thanks again Stephanie for organising this lovely exchange....

Pop over to Stephanie's blog to see what all the other ladies received in the exchange....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Searching For The Whales....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Here I am again catching up with some of the things I was doing during my Summertime blogging break.

As ever we spent some time in my favourite place Whitby....and this time we thought we would take a trip out for a spot of Whale Watching....and we weren't disappointed.

It was a beautiful afternoon, slightly chillier out to sea but well worth the trip.

My Faithful Shipmates On This Adventure

My Best Friend...

And My Best Girl

We were very lucky and were able to spot at least four different Minke Whales and we were able to follow them as they chased shoals of  fish. It was a great afternoon and such a thrill to see such wonderful animals in their own habitat....

It is such a treat to see and so exciting when the shout of 'Whale' goes up. I have a few photos of the whales but missed taking photos of them half the time as I was a) to slow with the camera or b) just totally in awe of them. Brogan's photos are far better than mine.

It was also lovely to see my beloved Whitby from another angle as we sailed back into harbour in the early evening sunshine.

What a fabulous treat and I would certainly recommend the trip to anyone.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy your evening.

Friday Night With Friends....Catch Up!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

So as it seems to be the 'norm' lately for me I'm late to the party once again....

I'm not quite sure where my time is going....

On Friday I decided to join in with like minded crafter's from around the world who join together (virtually) that is.....on the first Friday of the month to do a spot of knitting, sewing, crocheting etc....whatever craft you like....

Thank you to Cheryll for hosting this fabulous get together.

It's been a while since I joined in but I'm determined to keep up this time....even making a note in my diary!!!

Well I decided to continue adding stitches to my Nora Corbett...

The Holly Fairy

Not a great deal of progress but at least I have almost finished the skirt now...I love all the shades of green....feeling just a tad inspired to get her finished now....

I'm pleased I managed to find the time to join in this month...I will definitely be taking part again next month.....the dates already in my diary.

So now I can spend a bit of time having a look at what everyone else was doing.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

The Holly Fairy....Again!!!

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are well.

Ok...so you can tell that the weather is beginning to get a little cooler....because I have started to pick up my cross stitch of an evening....Thank goodness for my magnifying light!!!.....or else I wouldn't see a thing....

The Holly Fairy

This was as far as I managed up to March 2016. I know...I know.....I'm officially rubbish. I can't believe I haven't even put one stitch in since then but I am determined to finish this piece of work no matter what....

I will keep you posted...

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

The Colour Run...

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well and that you've had a lovely weekend.

So here I continue with my catch up on what I was doing during my little summer blogging break....

We did

The Colour Run

Well when I say we, I mean Miss B and yours truly!!!

We had a great time and I did run.....for the first few minutes until we were out of the gates anyway....I can't even run for a bus anymore.....the joints and muscles won't let me.....my ankles crack, my knees crunch and my calves burn but I do walk rather quickly.....

It was a lot of fun as long as the coloured starch doesn't get up your nose and you keep your mouth firmly closed when you run through each colour station....easier said than done when your laughing your head off at everyone else!!!

We will definitely do it again next year and maybe we'll run a bit more and probably get some sponsors organised and do it for charity.

So pleased we didn't have to come home in our own cars though....my lovely partner brought us home in his.....that stuff gets everywhere....sorry Darling but do you know our clothes and trainers washed perfectly clean again....bonus!!!....not sure about his van seats though!!!....Whoops.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Searching For Lost Patterns....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I started to have a clear out during the summer in my craftroom and I came to realise that during our move last year I seem to have lost/misplaced/thrown away a pile of much wanted and 'On My To Do List' patterns which were I thought safely tucked inside a little plastic folder....be they cross stitch, knitting or crochet.

I thought they were safely popped away during the move.....but can I find them....

'No' is the answer....

Did I give them away by mistake....'Who knows'....what I do know is that I can't find them and I'm just a bit upset about it.

So I am wondering if there is anyone out there who might be able to help.....

I know it's very cheeky of me but I would be happy to pay for any costs incurred in my search.

The patterns that I have lost are:-

I know these as I write them down in a book.....organised or what!!!!

Sadly not as I wouldn't have lost them......

March Hare - Cross Stitch Collection Magazine - Issue 195 - Designer Lesley Teare

Cushion Pattern - Simply Crochet Magazine - Issue 18

Cheeky Chickens - The World Of Cross Stitching Magazine - Issue 214 - Designer Madeleine Floyd

Peter Rabbit - Cross Stitch Crazy Magazine - Issue 201

Green Apple Cross Stitch Books -

The Tailor Of Gloucester - No. 540

Jeremy Fisher - No.

The Tale Of Peter Rabbit - No. 549

I would be so grateful if anyone is able to help in any way.....even to give me an idea as to where I can source them would be great or if the magazines/books are still available to buy.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

New Hobbies....

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

So to continue with my catch up on what I have been doing during my little summer blogging break....

I took up a new hobby with my daughter Brogan...

Archery....

and I love it....

I have always wanted to do this but with a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia two years ago and a bulging disc and nerve compression in my neck and arms last year I thought the chance had passed me by...but apparently not. It turns out that I can use this fabulous hobby to rebuild my neck muscles and strengthen my arms...and it is working and I love it. Light bow, short distances and wonderful club coaches and away I go...

And it is also twice as nice as I get to do this with my beautiful daughter Brogan....

I'm really enjoying it. We have only just started a few months ago so it is all very new to us and we have a lot to learn but I think it is helping with my neck problems which is a huge plus as far as I can see.

As you can see...still not much crafting but I'm sure I'll get round to some as the evenings start to draw in.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

My Birthday Girl All Grown Up At 21....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

I thought for the next few weeks I would try to do some posts to catch up on what I have been doing over the last few months.....

So to start off during my summertime blogging break my daughter celebrated her 21st birthday.

Where did the time go......!!!

This is my lovely girl cutting her cake...

And this is the card I made for her...not my best as I'm so out of practise....the colours were far too bright but she loved it all the same.

And here is a photo of the actual cake....

Her perfect cake.

She just loves her shoes...and 'yes' she does have a pair of Jimmy Choos which she received as an 18th birthday present. For this birthday she wanted a bike so we bought her a very smart willow green coloured Pashley...which I have to say is rather beautiful just to look at let alone ride.

Happy Birthday Brogan.

We Love You All The Way To The Moon And Back....

Still Here And A Strawberry Swap....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Wow....where does the time go?..... It has been a while since my last post...about 4 months to be exact but I promise I have been very busy....not much crafting done but busy all the same.

I thought a blogging break would be good for me over the summer as I felt that my posts were getting just a tad boring and a little stale....so there has been a reason for my absence....

Anyway I'm back and one thing I have done over the summer is to take part in a swap....

Tracy at  Mad About Bags hosted a Strawberry Swap and I was partnered with the lovely Kim from Wisdom With Needle And Thread and this is what I received from Kim....

The beautiful stitched plaque is now in pride of place in my kitchen where the colours match perfectly and the lip balm is in my work bag....I love lip balms and am never without one. Thank you Kim for such gorgeous gifts.

And this is what I sent to Kim...

It was such a pleasure to put together this strawberry themed package for Kim but it was so much harder than I thought to find strawberry themed items.

I also made a card with a strawberry theme to send to Kim...

My water colouring wasn't perfect but it's been a long time since I'd made a card and I really enjoyed colouring this cute little image.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I hope you are all still out there.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Oh Dear....Puddings...

Good evening everyone.

I hope you are all well.

So this is how I managed to put on 8lbs while on holiday.

It is official....The Diet Starts Monday!!!

And here are five reasons why the diet starts Monday.....

It was a good job we were only away for eleven nights.....

But it would have been rude not to try these wonderful desserts...don't you think.....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Wool Art - Tenerife Style....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are well.

Just a very quick post today.....

While on holiday, one of our ports of call was Santa Cruz, Tenerife and look what I found while having a walk around.....

It was lovely to see these pieces of woolly art draped around the trees and my partner was quite intrigued by it all as he'd never seen this done before....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really do appreciate your visits and lovely, encouraging comments.

Have a lovely evening.
